Inspired by your book

 

Dear Rob,

at the end of your book it's asks the reader to send you a wee e-mail... It's taken me a while to do it, partly because I read your story in prison, part of it was down to nerves. But tonight after my alpha group I decided to pluck up the courage to contact you.

You won't remember me but we've met before, on Sunday 20th march in the church at hmp castington. I was a broken man and was four weeks into a four and a half month ordeal which I found myself in due to a gambling addiction. My addiction drove a wedge between myself and Christ and hearing your sermon gave me so much hope and inspiration. I took a copy of your book that day, probably without saying thank you, I wish I had though because it helped save my life.

When I was released from prison in July, the only thing I took with me was your book. It led me to the bible and back to church and gamblers anonymous.

I've been home for three months now and my faith is as strong as ever.
