Who wants the anointing?

As I read 1 Samuel 16 and look at the heart of God in this passage I cannot help but be in awe.

God sent the prophet Samuel to anoint another King, King Saul had lost the favour of God, in chapter 15 vs 24 we see how Saul put ' people's opinions' ahead of the Lords. Saul's desire to please man resulted in him displeasing God and losing his kingship. The whole time this was going on, totally unaware of God's searching eye was a young man called David who was happily looking after his fathers sheep, very uneventful except for the odd lion or bear that needed to be overcome. David was not looking for fame or for riches, he was happy to serve and happy to care for and love sheep while his brothers received most of the attention. But, heaven was on the prowl for a new king, God was searching the land, not for outward appearance but for a heart that He knew could be totally His and He stopped at David the shephard boy.

Think back to Adam and Eve who had the authority of the land until they disobeyed God From the very beginning of time God had a redemption plan in the form of His Son Jesus. All throughout history we see this, the nation of Israel messes up so God raises up a redeemer such as Moses, we have Gideon, Esther, Nehemiah and so on.  Saul messes up so God raises up a redeemer in David and the list goes on and on. God is always looking for a redeemer, a man, woman, even a child who will rise up and allow God to anoint, equip and send into His broken world to make the difference and still today the Father looks to and thro seeking one who could be His. In verse 12 of 1 Samuel chapter 16 we read how the Lord told Samuel to anoint David, "Arise, anoint him; for this is the one"

When Jesus tore the veil He gave us ALL the opportunity of 'Being the One', the one that God anoints to make a difference in this world. The Father longs for anyone who is bold enough, humble enough and most importantly of all willing enough to say 'Ok, I will go Lord' I firmly believe that when that happens, when that person responds to God's cry the anointing falls upon that persons life and ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

My question is this, WILL YOU GO?

If the answer is YES, then tell Him, and SIMPLY GO.
