I saw a woman in a cage today

Today as I was praying in my study, enjoying my worship music playing on itunes and thinking about the awesomeness of God I had a very clear picture of a beautiful, innocent looking house wife, wearing a pink cardigan and a black skirt. This lady looked dejected as she was locked in a small cage. It was obvious to me that she had done nothing wrong and did not deserve to be in this cage. There was nothing suggestive about her appearance and she certainly did not look ‘sexy’ as most men see ‘sexy’ today.

The LORD began to speak to me about this picture and told me that the woman represented a decent, moral woman, a wife, a mother and more importantly than that, His Daughter!

I saw in the Spirit that this woman was a ‘type’ of countless thousands/millions of other women who had found themselves in a ‘cage’ of emotion and hurt due to PORNOGRAPHY and how it had negatively and definitely affected her heart. You see this woman, the one in my picture, was married to a man who was viewing pornography. The woman herself never had, never wanted to either, but, her husband had viewed these images too many times and had become so blinded by the perversity of pornography that he was now viewing his own precious wife the same way he was these poor women who find themselves involved in porn, worthless objects...

This mans addiction to pornography was not just between him and the internet, it was not something that ALL men do and it is certainly not ‘ok’

It ruins marriages, it destroys lives, it breaks down covenant and commitment and genuine intimacy between a man and a wife, a father and a daughter and so on and so on...

It cheapens people, it says ‘it’s ok to treat people this way so I can be satisfied’ but if like me you have ever been addicted to pornography you will know only too well that it does NOT ever satisfy, truly!

As part of our Holiness Movement we are now starting protests and campaigns to see this evil abolished in our nation. YES that does seem like an impossible task, YES we are just a drop in the ocean of the overall picture - BUT, so what!!! We will fight anyway, just because someone has to and it is completely immoral not to.

Women feel more and more like they need to dress and act a certain way because sadly they have discovered to our shame that that is what we like.

We are no longer satisfied with the intimate and romantic love of our wives, we want perversion! IT MUST STOP!

Men, we must honour God, ourselves and our women regardless of how tempting and attractive porn seems to be. It is wrong, we must admit it and we must fight back NOW!

By the grace of God and a revelation of how beautiful, amazing, wonderful and special my wife is, I am not addicted to porn any longer.

But only today I have spent 30 minutes chatting to a young man who hates his pornography addiction and is looking for someone who would fight on his behalf and teach him how to fight this evil for himself.
